Each sandal is entirely hand-cut and hand-constructed from select cuts of Yuketen’s original vegetable-tanned leather. This ‘naked’ leather is exceptionally breathable and will patina more quickly than leathers that have undergone further processing. With the solid brass buckle on the strap, it provides simple, yet delicate and elegant finish.
The three-dimensional footbed constructed with the toe bar, arch support and heel cup increases fitting in the arch and heel as well as lessen foot fatigue, and helps the weight to be distributed more evenly across the foot and accommodate the distinct shape of the wearer. Two layers of the jute and plantation crepe unit sole provides superior shock absorption and an incredibly soft and slip-resistant tread.
