Sizing Guide: Yuketen moccasin styles are true to US standard size. We recommend checking your shoe size in the New Balance Made in USA models (ex. 993, 996, 998) or on the Brannock Device.

Please note that this is just a sizing reference. Every single person has different shape of foot. Thus, to determine the most accurate size for your foot, we suggest visiting a Yuketen stockist if there is one near you for fitting advice and the opportunity to try on an actual pair. If you are unsure about the sizing, please contact us for advice before purchasing.

The blucher moccasin was popularized in the 1950s and 60s as a formalized variation of the lace-up moccasin, more commonly experienced as a boat shoe. The blucher provided a more sophisticated, elongated silhouette, reminiscent of the style of dress shoe with which it shared its name. Yuketen's Blucher Rocker with Kiltie pairs the urban moccasin with our original EVA foam rocker sole for long-standing comfort and a contoured, molded fit. Important design details are the lace-in kiltie nestled under the blucher pieces, our signature baseball stitch overcast, and pinking decoration on the heel seam cover, all of which contribute a touch of elegance to this updated moccasin silhouette.

Each pair of Yuketen’s genuine moccasin-construction footwear is handcrafted in our factory in Maine, USA. The shoes benefit from their construction using only the best components and materials such as the Horween’s Chromexcel leathers. Chromexcel is a buttery, malleable "pull-up" leather born of a unique double-tanning process of vegetable and chrome treatments, which imbues the leather with pleasantly aromatic liquor notes. Its suppleness, revealing of lighter tones in its oiled surface when stretched, makes it particularly suitable to moccasin construction.

To closely mirror the incongruence of the human foot and deliver a molded fit, multiple pieces of leather are hand-sewn and hand-lasted on Yuketen’s proprietary last, which was developed in the 1950s and was known as the best shoe last for an American-made moccasin. In addition, the base of the vamp has been cinched to further ensure an integumentary fit.

Full vegetable-tanned leather insoles and midsoles, and tucks with steel shank reinforcements increase fitting in the arch and heel as well as lessen foot fatigue by forming a stable bridge between the heel and ball of the owner's foot which causes weight to be distributed more evenly across the foot. This results in reduced foot fatigue and improved comfort. Yuketen’s signature tucks are made from 100% vegetable-tanned leather and will naturally accommodate the distinct shape of the wearer’s foot over time.

The rocker outsole on this shoe was exclusively made for Yuketen based upon an outsole that was used for orthopedic patients in need of soft and forgiving outsoles. The low heel-toe designed outsole creates a unique fulcrum effect like a rocking chair to guide a better gait cycle. This light-weighted EVA foam rocker sole gives a supremely comfort even for a long track.
